The BRIT Trust considers all applications, which meet the criteria within its mission statement "improving lives through the power of music and the creative arts”.
The Trust’s Grant-Giving Committee reviews applications in light of the Trust’s mission, objectives and grant-making policy and after meeting the larger commitments of The BRIT School and Nordoff Robbins, if possible, the Trustees’ may decide to make a number of smaller donations to support additional charitable organisations and activities. These Grant applications are considered at the November meeting of the Trust.
Please note that the BRIT Trust does not consider individual grants or scholarships, nor generally capital grants or grant donations outside the UK.
Applicants are respectfully asked to bear in mind that requests for funding support typically far outweigh the Trust’s ability to help all the causes that approach it, however deserving these may be and however much it may wish to help. Unsuccessful applicants are, however, welcome to re-apply in due course, unless otherwise advised.
Please note that if you are successful in receiving funds from The BRIT Trust we will send you a formal letter of acceptance which you will be required to sign , and we will require formal reporting and evaluation of your activity. We will contact you with our requirements as appropriate.
Each application needs to be endorsed and jointly put forward by an individual working in the UK music industry.
