Trustees visit BRIT Trust funded Theatre at ELAM
The Trustees are invited by Charlie Kennard to visit ELAM and see the Theatre that the BRIT Trust funded to build and fit out in full operation.
ELAM opened in September 2014 and moved into their permanent home in Bromley by Bow in April 2017. John Craig officially opened their world-class 440 seater theatre in June 2017. This sits at the heart of the school and provides amazing and industry standard opportunities for our trainees to practice and perform. They have already hosted 10 sold out shows since they opened the space. In 2017 they were also graded ‘Outstanding’ in all categories by Ofsted.
Charlie Kennard had this to say about the BRIT Trust’s support – “None of this would have been possible had it not been for the amazing support of the individual trust members and the trust as a collective. Your generosity and expertise enabled us to build our home and I personally hope we can continue to develop our relationship as we continue to champion and provide outstanding creative education opportunities in the UK”.
