    10 August 2010
Robbie Williams, who has won more BRITs than any other artist, was awarded with the coveted trophy at The BRIT Awards 2010 with MasterCard on Tuesday 16 February. Robbie took to The BRIT Awards stage to close the show with a sensational live performance, entertaining the packed audience at London’s Earls Court as well as the millions of viewers watching live on ITV1.

With a career spanning twenty chart topping years, Robbie Williams made his first appearance in 1989 as a member of Take That.  As a solo artist Robbie’s career went stratospheric selling more albums in the UK than any other British artist and holding the astounding record of winning more BRIT Awards than any other artist - he already has a staggering eleven in total. He carved out a successful run of number one hit songs including ‘Angels’, ‘She’s The One’, ‘Rock DJ’ and ‘Something Stupid’ and amassed over 55 million album sales worldwide while his stadium tours saw 1.6 million tickets being sold in a single day.

The BRIT Awards 2010 were proud to have Robbie Williams return to its stage. He was awarded his first BRIT in 1999 for Best British Male Artist and went on to consecutively win more categories for another five years running.  In 2005 he performed his biggest hit ‘Angels’ live on stage alongside songstress Joss Stone and at an earlier BRITs, 1998, he dueted with one of his heroes Tom Jones.
